A Note from the
Executive Director



The Maine Harness Horsemen’s Association is just two years shy of celebrating its’ 50^th Anniversary.  From its inception in 1965, the organization has always strived to promote the welfare of its members and the welfare of harness racing in Maine.   I am about to embark on my third year as the Executive Director of this association and am very proud and honored to represent the owners, breeders, drivers, trainers and grooms within this close knit industry.  Over the past few years we have seen our fair share of setbacks, but the industry always comes together to ensure that slot machine gaming, simulcasting, and off-track betting continues to exist to support live harness racing in Maine.  More...
